چکیده
The (2+1) dimensional non-linear electrodynamics, the so called Pagels–Tomboulis electrodynamics, with the Chern–Simons term is considered. We obtain ”generalized self–dual equation” and find the corresponding generalized massive Chern–Simons Lagrangian. Similar results for (2+1) massive dilaton electrodynamics have been obtained. 1 The Pagels–Tomboulis model Among many gauge theories the Pagels–Tomboulis model [1] L = − 4 ( F a μνF aμν Λ )δ−1 F a μνF aμν (1) has a special place. Here F a μν = ∂μA a ν − ∂νAaμ − ǫabcAbμAcν is the standard field tensor, δ is a dimensionless parameter and Λ is a dimensional constant. The gauge field is SU(2) type i.e. a = 1, 2, 3. One can check that this Lagrangian has positively defined energy for δ ≥ 1 2 . The model was originally found as an effective model for the low energy (3+1) QCD [1]. In fact, it was shown that electrical sources are confined for [email protected] [email protected]

Topologically massive gravito-electrodynamics: exact solutions
We construct two classes of exact solutions to the field equations of topologically massive electrodynamics coupled to topologically massive gravity in 2 + 1 dimensions. The self-dual stationary solutions of the first class are horizonless, asymptotic to the extreme BTZ blackhole metric, and regular for a suitable parameter domain. The diagonal solutions of the second class, which exist if the ...

متن کاملDistended Topologically Massive Electrodynamics
We extend topologically massive electrodynamics, both by adding a higher derivative action to cast the entire three-term model in Chern-Simons (CS) form, and by embedding it in an AdS background. It can then be written as the sum of two CS terms, one of which vanishes at the “chiral” point, in analogy with its gravitational topologically massive counterpart. Separately we treat pure CS electrod...
متن کاملThe 2+1 charged black hole in topologically massive Electrodynamics
The 2+1 black hole coupled to a Maxwell field can be charged in two different ways. On the one hand, it can support a Coulomb field whose potential grows logarithmically in the radial coordinate. On the other, due to the existence of a non-contractible cycle, it also supports a topological charge whose value is given by the corresponding Abelian holonomy. Only the Coulomb charge, however, is gi...
متن کاملGravitational Dressing of Aharonov-bohm Amplitudes *
We investigate Aharonov-Bohm scattering in a theory in which charged bosonic matter fields are coupled to topologically massive electrodynamics and topologically massive gravity. We demonstrate that, at one-loop order, the transmuted spins in this theory are related to the ones of ordinary Chern-Simons gauge theory in the same way that the Knizhnik-Polyakov-Zamolodchikov formula relates the Lio...
